Husbands, Take Note: This is Dr. Hayden Kho’s ENTIRE Skincare Routine

By Ysabel Vitangcol on December 17, 2020

Ladies, it’s almost a given that you would have some form of skincare routine. Whether it’s as minimal as three steps or intensive as ten, skincare is part of a woman’s life. for the men in our lives, on the other hand, skincare is probably a myth—if not a complete mystery to them. It’s probably something they see you do, but don’t necessarily want to get into themselves. But we all know that skin is skin, and skin needs to be treated with TLC. In fact, men should be required to have a skincare routine, since they’re more likely to experience redness, acne (from testosterone that triggers the production), oiliness (from overproduction of sebaceous glands), and deeper wrinkles.

If you want to start convincing your hubby or boyfie to start taking care of his skin more, we break Dr. Hayden Kho’s personal and no-longer-a-secret skincare regimen. Spoiler: it only involves using five products, total!

The morning and evening staple

Doc Hayden starts his morning and evening skincare routine with the ZO Exfoliating Cleanser to wash his face. Formulated for normal to oily skin, it gently removes dirt and surface oil while clearing clogged pores and blackheads. It also helps to calm and soothe irritated skin.

What should he use in the morning?

He follows up with the ZO 10% Self-Activating Vitamin C serum. This brightens and evens out the skin tone with 10% ascorbic acid and tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate to gently exfoliate and remove pigmentation as well as prevent the production of new dark spots. It also has moisturizing squalene to hydrate the skin.

To finish up his morning skincare, he applies the ZO Firming Serum. This mild anti-aging serum improves skin’s elasticity and firmness with sodium DNA and ZCORE™ Complex. He describes it as a unique serum formula because “it’s the only one that hits the dermal-epidermal junction” or the space between the dermis and epidermis that is responsible for maintaining the skin’s taut and tight appearance.

What should he use at night?

After cleansing his face in the evening, Doc Hayden uses the ZO Daily Power Defense. This antioxidant serum with enzymes, peptides, ceramides, and Vitamin E to stimulate the skin’s DNA repair and add protection from free radical damage, which according to Doc Hayden helps the skin recover as you sleep. It also has the added perk of tightening and firming the skin.

Lastly, Doc Hayden uses the ZO Brightalive Skin Brightener to maintain his flawless complexion. He shared that he used to have hyperpigmentation (and used the ZO Retinol Skin Brightener to treat it), a common skin problem that men encounter. This non-retinol skin brightener helps prevent and reduce dark spots to promote a more even skin tone.

And that’s it! Simple, right? If you want to gently ease your man into a short and fuss-free skincare routine, you can shop Dr. Hayden Kho’s entire skincare wardrobe at the Belo Shop. Who knows, this may be his first step to achieving his personal skin goals.
