ADVALight

ADVALight is a next-generation yellow laser. The world’s only solid-state laser, it’s capable of producing two wavelengths in a single spot to address a wide range of conditions, notably overactive oil glands and acne.

There are two kinds:

  • ADVAClear® – best for treating acne and acne scars. This is the only laser in the world to combine 1319nm, widely accepted as the gold standard in addressing overactive oil glands with 589nm, the wavelength of choice when targeting acne bacteria and the underlying vascular structure which supports cystic nodes.
  • ADVAYouth® – best for treating scars and wrinkles. The 589nm wavelength  helps remove redness, while the 1319nm wavelength helps rebuild collagen in the area. ADVAYouth also helps improve texture, tone, and pore size with the 1319nm wavelength to stimulate collagen regenesis and breaking down of proteins

BEST FOR: Acne, oily skin, sun damage and pigments
PRICE: Depending on the doctor’s recommendation

Prices may change without prior notice.

  • What can patients expect from this treatment?
This treatment requires no topical anesthesia. The patient will also wear protective goggles to shield their eyes from the bright laser light. Afterward, a gliding gel is applied on the face or targeted areas where the laser will be maneuvered in circular motions. Depending on the size of the area to be treated, this would last around 15-30 minutes. Your Belo doctor will also adjust the ADVALight setting on the needed wavelength, depending on the patient’s indications, skin type, and condition.
  • Is the treatment painless?
The treatment is designed to be nearly painless. Very mild stinging sensations may be experienced akin to random tapping, but most patients may not experience pain at all. The patient may feel soothing warm sensations with each pass.
  • Is there downtime?
There is no need to plan for downtime from your regular activities. Mild redness might be visible but should subside after a few hours. Patients are encouraged to avoid direct sun exposure for a minimum of 24 hours after the treatment since the skin is more sensitive and susceptible to harmful rays. Post-laser cream will be recommended to prevent inflammatory reactions. Makeup may be worn on treated skin after 24 hours.
  • How soon can you see the results, and how long do they last?
Many Advalight patients notice significant improvements in their skin tone and texture after just one session where effects will continue to improve over the course of the week after. The results are usually long-lasting and can be sustained with a proper skincare routine and a healthy lifestyle.
  • How many sessions are needed?
Although results are appreciated immediately after each treatment, our Belo doctors recommend 4 to 6 sessions with a 2 week interval for optimal results.
