Recently, The Business Manual PH Awards recognized Dr. Belo as a CEO Awards Honoree on January 28, 2024, at Shangri-la The Fort. Having established her practice with a heart for serving her patients for the past 33 years, she continues to break barriers in the industry whilst strengthening the foundations of her growing empire. 

“I love to create, I love to innovate. I encourage my staff to throw anything in – a lot of great ideas come out,” shares Dr. Belo, when asked on how she fosters a culture of creativity and innovation within entrepreneurial ventures. “The CEO Award recognizes that Belo is doing something right. It’s a name recognized in most of the Philippines as synonymous with beauty. That means a lot to me.”

2. The Belo Medical Group got its golden seal from the Department of Tourism

A strategic partnership with the Department of Tourism cements Belo’s reputation as the premier aesthetic and dermatological practice in the country. It also solidifies its goals to make the Philippines a world class destination for medical tourism. 

DOT-NCR Regional Director Sharlene Zabala-Batin stated that the Belo Medical Group has become the first and only aesthetic facility to achieve this well-earned DOT accreditation. This collaboration is set to open even more opportunities and growth in medical tourism for both the brand and the country.

On behalf of Belo Medical Group, Dr. Vicki Belo recently received the gold award from Compare Retreats as the Medical Aesthetic Clinic of the year. The Belo group bested facilities from the United Kingdom, New York, and other countries at the Luxury Wellness Travel Awards 2024 held at the Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong.

Compare Retreat’s inaugural ceremony celebrated trailblazers in the realm of luxury and wellness travel, as carefully nominated and voted on by an esteemed panel of experts. Other gold winners this year include the Bulgari Spa, Soneva Fushi in the Maldives, Clinique La Prairie in Switzerland, Amanpuri in Thailand, and more.

4. Dr. Belo presented not just one, but TWO medical papers at the prestigious IMCAS World Congress in Paris, France

Dr. Vicki Belo, along with our other Belo Doctors, presented her studies for the fourth consecutive year at the world’s leading international conference for dermatology, plastic surgery, and aging science. This year, she presented not just one but two research papers. The first tackled the treatment of melasma in Asian patients, while the second discussed the positive effects of exosomes in dermatological practice in the Philippines. 

Speaking to leading international medical practitioners around the world, Dr. Vicki Belo’s cutting-edge work, alongside the doctors and staff of Belo Medical Group, further establishes her as a true pioneer. Even after 33 years, she still dedicates herself to expanding world knowledge through research in this fast-evolving field. Dr. Belo declares, “It makes me proud that we are invited to present, and not just be an attendee,” appreciating the opportunity to represent the country in this global congress.
