Who is Dr. Dax Carlo Pascasio?

A proud Mindanaoan, Dr. Dax Pascasio’ extensive training took him through University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), aesthetic clinics in South Korea, and Chang Gung Hospital in Taiwa – which are regarded as the best in craniofacial surgery. Today, he is one of the only two Plastic Surgeons in the Philippines formally trained and doing orthognathic and craniofacial surgeries. “Under his care, patients can undergo advanced jaw and chin procedures such as orthognathic surgery (one-jaw and two-jaw surgeries).

Aside from doing rhinoplasty at the newly opened Belo Surgicenter in Cebu, Dr. Pascasio is also one of the lead surgeons behind the Belo Scar Project—a landmark initiative launched during Belo Medical Group’s 35th year, offering complimentary, expert-led scar revision treatments to seven selected patients.

But after my assessment, I highlight the features that are uniquely theirs. Instead of copying someone else’s look, we create the best version of them.”

Vision

Dr. Pascasio’s passion extends beyond private practice. He serves as program director of cleft centers in Mindanao, where he provides free surgeries to patients who could not otherwise afford treatment.

He recalls one patient who left a lasting impression early in his career. “She was a cleft patient studying tourism. She was very shy, and you can just imagine in tourism you have to face people! After orthognathic surgery, the boost in confidence was just off the charts.” he shares. “It really changed her life. I’m really, really happy for her – until now she still messages me! We still see each other during conferences because she’s always very happy to share her story.”
