Things You Need to Know After Having Botox

By Ysabel Vitangcol on April 1, 2019

Getting Botox is no longer reserved for the older set—ladies in their mid-20s are more informed about their choices and enjoy the benefits that Botox brings not just to help maintain a youthful face, but the confidence that the transformation brings.

Luckily, taking care of yourself after getting Botox is as low maintenance as the procedure itself. These simple botox aftercare tips take a few minutes to do:

Be mindful about your medicine and vitamin intake.

Your Belo doctor will definitely ask you about the current medicines and vitamins that you’re taking, and this is so that they can make sure that none of your medications will interfere or complicate with the procedure. While BELO has medications that will counteract any blood-thinning medications you’re taking, it’s best to still be transparent with your doctor regarding this.

Don’t lie down on the treated area right away.

For the first few hours, avoid lying down on your face. If you’ll be going to sleep during the first four hours of your procedure, it’s best to lie on your back, instead of on your face or on your back.

Exercise the treated area – but be gentle.

Your doctor will show you how to gently exercise the treated area, so that it will spread to the target area for the succeeding days after getting Botox. Using your fingers to apply just the right pressure on the area will do wonders.

Keep your doctor’s appointment.

After your treatment, your BELO doctor will schedule you to meet him or her after a week, to check on how you’re doing, and how the target areas look like after Botox. This is important, because an expert will clearly see something that the patient might have overlooked with their untrained perspective.

Express yourself!

Gone are the days of Botox giving you a surprised, frozen look. BELO encourages you to still be as expressive with your face, especially if the target area of the Botox is your dynamic wrinkles.
