COVID-19 Relief: Where to Donate

By Ysabel Vitangcol on March 24, 2020

Seeing distressing news regarding the conditions of our health workers, other frontliners, and individuals whose livelihoods were affected by COVID-19 can make us feel helpless while we’re at home. Even though we cannot physically be there to support them, we can still channel that energy into something worthwhile and value-adding by donating what we can to those who will benefit from it the most. Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be in big amounts—any amount coming from your heart can make a huge difference.

Belo Medical Group Is Doing Its Part

Belo Medical Group continues to fulfill its promise of donating all PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment) to hospitals in need. So far, we have donated to the following health institutions:

  • Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital
  • Philippine Air Force
  • Philippine General Hospital (PGH)
  • Providence Hospital
  • Rizal Medical Hospital
  • Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM)
  • University of Santo Tomas Hospital

We recognize, however, that personal protective equipment is not enough. Our brave frontliners need nourishment to take on their busy days.

Thus, today we have started to send a thousand meals to 20+ different hospitals and local government units. Our commitment is to send meals daily to the frontliners of these hospitals throughout the duration of the quarantine period.

We would not be able to jumpstart this initiative without our partners: Tim Yap (Yaparazzi Events + PR), CloudEats, Hirayang Kabataan, Salamat PH Healthcare Heroes, and Angkas.

You may stay updated on our donation efforts via our social media channels. #SalamatSaMalasakit

Many of our #BeloBabies have been posting “where to donate” information on their social media, but in case you missed that, we’ve listed some of them down for you:

With the growing number of COVID-19 patients, blood supplies are running low due to many blood donor cancellations as a result of fear of exposure. However, the demand for blood remains the same, causing a shortage. If you would like to donate blood, the Philippine Red Cross is calling for donations.
