How to Pose with Your Family, Like Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes

By Ysabel Vitangcol on May 8, 2021

Whether you’re stuck at home or able to sneak in a quick staycation, photos will always be a quintessential part of every family event. But the usual selfie angles and jump shots can look boring. Here are five ways to pose with your fam, inspired by Belo couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.

  1. Seal it with a kiss.

Don’t be shy about showing affection in front of the camera—happy families make for great-looking photos. You can either cozy up to your hubby or save the big smooches for the kids. Marian and Dingdong look so gigil with Zia and Sixto in the photo below—it’s hard to not smile when you see it!

  1. Keep it mysterious.

You can achieve this at a family vacation where the sunrise or sunset looms in the background. Adjust the shadows/black colors in the photo to be at their maximum, and you’ll get a beautiful family silhouette just like this.

  1. Zoom out.

Sometimes, it’s refreshing to see your family from the POV of others. The surrounding people help frame the photo nicely, but since they’re blurred, they don’t distract from the main subject—you guys. This is perfect for at-home events like birthdays or holidays.

  1. Don’t forget to be playful.

Nothing’s more cringeworthy than a fake smile. And sometimes, it can be hard to get your kids to cooperate and take just one photo to capture the moment. The key is to engage them in a fun activity so that their smiles are genuine—and not just because Mom and Dad told them to.
