Having competed in Miss Earth before aiming for the Miss Universe crown, Celeste Cortesi was no stranger to pageantry. But stepping up her game meant embracing every opportunity to feel her best.

“I do really take care of my body. I eat very healthy. However, there’s certain stubborn areas that cannot be improved with certain procedures. I still couldn’t get rid of the fat in my arms,” she said. “That’s why I did it.”

Being in the cutthroat field of beauty, it’s common to feel conscious about one’s image. For Celeste, it’s more than just that: beauty enhancement is not something to be frowned upon.

“We do need to understand that nobody’s perfect. But at the same time, there’s certain insecurities that you can work on, too. And if you have help from doctors, just to help yourself feel more confident, there’s nothing wrong with that.”

The idea of 360° Liposuction came up one morning with Dr. Vicki Belo, and although it was a spontaneous suggestion, it was something Celeste had been contemplating.

“At first, I was scared. It was a major procedure! I knew it was something not to take lightly,” she recalls. “But, I trust Dr. Vicki Belo. We were really working a lot on my confidence and my body before going to Miss Universe.”

Celeste walked through the day of the procedure, which actually happened two weeks before flying to New Orleans, LA for the competition.

“I was guided very well throughout: before the procedure and after the procedure as well. Of course, I wanted to be well-informed about it. Whatever I was feeling or any questions I had, they would always be there to help me out,” she said.

“I was initially scared but it was also a comfortable journey. I just really trusted Dr. Belo – she herself did the procedure. I was awake at that time, but I didn’t feel anything. I felt safe. I never felt like I was in danger or any of that.  Everything went very well, and I’m happy I did it.”

Was she worried about her scars? Celeste said that her healing was quick, her scars minimal having left no visible scabs by the time she competed at Miss Universe 2022.

“After two weeks from the procedure, I was literally on stage and you cannot even see my scars,” she shared. That’s how good Belo is with these kinds of procedures.”

Beyond The Procedure: How Celeste Maintains Her Results

Even after her pageant days, Celeste continues to maintain her form through daily workouts and proper nutrition. Three years after the procedure, her arms still look toned. Proof that results aren’t just from surgery, but also dedication.

“Some people think that it’s a shortcut. But what people don’t know is that after 360° Liposuction, you also have to maintain a certain lifestyle,” Celeste said. “I maintained a lifestyle that I’ve done for years to still have my arms as they are now.”

Today, Celeste embraces a body that reflects her inner confidence. With a busy schedule that is composed of running her business, as well as attending events and engagements, she has never felt “more confident and comfortable.”

“My 360° Liposuction for my arms, my confidence really changed. It’s more than the physical appearance,” she said. “Now, every time I wake up in the morning, or every time I look at myself in the mirror, or when I wear certain outfits, I’m like, “yeah! It actually looks amazing and it looks good!”.

“I’m just very grateful that I went through that.”
