Discipline vs. Motivation: Which Is Better?

Before the start of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), Belo Medical Group was one of the first businesses to shut down operations, all for the safety of our patients and employees. But as the quarantine period grew longer, we used the time away to introduce stringent safety measures, online options for treatments and purchases…and above all, a safe in-clinic experience for patients who decided to visit us again when MECQ rolled around. And the innovations haven’t stopped—we’re constantly finding ways to give you the premier Belo experience you love, without compromising on safety. Here’s what we’ve accomplished so far:
1. We launched our e-commerce platform, The Belo Shop, in April.
To make Belo products accessible to patients despite the lockdown, we announced the opening of our e-commerce site, The Belo Shop, four months ago. Here are just some of the ways we’ve made it a fun shopping haven for you:

2. We introduced safety and protection measures in all our clinics, which helped set a standard for aesthetic clinics worldwide.
After a long wait, the announcement of MECQ allowed us to reopen the bulk of our clinics. This enabled us to introduce our suite of stringent safety and protection measures on clinic premises, which you’ll see in this video.
Our “New Normal” video has been used by aesthetic clinics worldwide as a template for the safe reopening of their establishments. We continue to beef up our safety measures to truly live by the goal of a COVID-Proof Belo.
3. We launched our latest skin rejuvenation treatment, Belo Skin Genius.
Belo has always delivered on lasting results. That’s why we are the only aesthetic clinic in the country to have the sought-after skin rejuvenation treatment, Skin Genius. Combining the powers of RF energy and insulated microneedling, Skin Genius delivers immediate results that get better over time. This reduces the need for patients to keep coming back to the clinic…and allows them to feel confident in themselves, even in isolation. After all, we should be beautiful for ourselves. That is the philosophy of our founder, and it’s one we strive to pass on to our patients.

4. We launched Facebook Live sessions to stay in touch with our patients and Belo Babies.
To keep connected with our patients and followers in spite of quarantine, we began hosting a series of Facebook Live discussions featuring Dr. Belo. This started off in partnership with publications like Cosmo.ph, CNN Philippines, Philippine Star CareerGuide, and more.
Last July 8, we launched our own Facebook Live series, featuring content creators and Belo Babies David Guison and Camille Co. They chatted with Dr. Belo about Skin Genius, skincare tips, maskne prevention, and more. Then, to introduce our Skin Genius muse Isabelle Daza, our second FB Live session was launched on July 15, this time with Dr. Hayden Kho joining the conversation. Continue to watch out for our upcoming Lives—there will be many more!
5. We developed the AI-powered Aesthetic Interest Questionnaire (AIQ) to help doctors figure out what patients need, even before they enter the clinic.
During a pandemic, face-to-face time with others should be greatly minimized. One of the ways we’re doing this is by launching the Belo AIQ. In a nutshell, it’s a series of beauty- and skin-related questions that you accomplish prior to your appointment. We’ve made the interface fun and intuitive to use, so that it feels like you’re answering a Buzzfeed quiz. More practically, though, this helps doctors get an idea of what your concerns are, allowing them to craft a customized beauty plan tailored to your needs.
6. Online Consultations
We wanted to remain inclusive to our patients who are stranded in the provinces and cannot travel to our clinics, or are terrified of leaving their homes. Belo Live Consultations were launched in The Belo Shop over ECQ, allowing patients to speak with their fave Belo MD, surgeon, or even Dr. Vicki Belo herself via Zoom, Viber, and more. It’s easy—all you have to do is head to The Belo Shop and book your appointment, and our Customer Care specialists will set up your e-consultation.
