Where did you first hear about chin fillers?

Trish: Everywhere! It’s been a buzzword among celebrities, both locally and in Hollywood, like who did what to refresh their faces, or what they call ‘tweakments.’

When did you decide to try chin fillers?

One day, I was cosplaying [Sailor Moon character] Tuxedo Mask, felt cute, and took a selfie (I usually don’t take selfies). And boom, I just noticed I didn’t look like Tuxedo Mask…I looked like THE MOON. I mean, I’m fine with the full cheeks, but maybe a little definition on the chin area wouldn’t hurt. Maybe turn my full moon phase (face) into a more crescent face! 

What was your treatment process like?

Since I did other adjunct treatments (Botox Masseter and V-Contour) they put Emla [a topical anesthetic] on the treatment area. So it’s virtually painless! I had some very, very slight bruising, but concealer hid it just fine. One day after, the area felt slightly “ngalay” around the chin and tongue, but it wasn’t that bothering naman.

I had my chin fillers done a week before an out-of-the-country trip, and I’m happy I did it! It was natural-looking, it looked like I’d lost some weight (I didn’t!), and I lost the double chin to boot!

And as you can see, even though she had her fillers done in September 2019, here’s a photo of Trish on a Batanes trip from March 2020 (pre-ECQ), where the results have clearly lasted. The effects of Juvéderm Voluma last around eight to 12 months, so it was worth it!
