You’re in Your 20s. So Why Would You Need Fillers?

By Ysabel Vitangcol on October 10, 2020

When young, spry twentysomethings hear the words “Botox” or “fillers,” you might find that they run for the hills—after all, aren’t these things reserved for people with jowls, visible wrinkles, and deep smile lines? Before we begin, I’d encourage you to remove all negative associations society or the media may have taught you about fillers—and listen to three very good reasons why someone in their 20s could benefit greatly from a quick 30-minute session. And just in time—we happen to be offering a discount of up to 25% on Juvéderm Voluma until the end of October 2020. Whip out your Notes app and take notes:

1. Fillers can reduce the annoying illusion of a double chin.

Sometimes, loose skin underneath the chin (near the neck) can make it look like you have a double chin, when you really don’t. And when you’re trying to take that cute side-profile Boomerang for IG, it can really spoil the vibe. By adding chin filler, you can tighten up the loose skin and get rid of your “fake double chin.” Sue Ramirez had been struggling with that for a while, and voila—chin fillers made it go away!

2. They can elongate the chin and slim the face.

This patient has a squarish jaw, which prevents the face from looking slim and elongated. Our patient wanted a more V-shaped appearance, and with a combination of chin fillers and Botox to the masseter area (AKA her chewing muscles), she achieved it.

3. They can keep your chin and neck from looking “connected” to one another.

Not all of us have a perfectly-shaped chin that juts out in our side profile. For some, the chin can look “connected” to the neck, which can make our side profile look unflattering. To look more chiseled, this male patient tried out chin fillers, which made his chin stand out, resulting in a more youthful appearance. Checkmate!

As you can see, fillers don’t necessarily have to bring about major, unsightly changes. Our expert Belo MDs know what they’re doing—they’ll be using just the right amount of fillers to give you that lift you need, without leaving you looking overly “retokada.” These little changes you see in our patients are called “tweakments,” and they take less than 30 minutes to do. It all starts with a consultation.
