The What, How, And Solutions to Jowling Skin
To say that wedding planning is a lot of hard work (and stress!) is an understatement. But according to actress, host, creative director, and ‘it’ girl Anne Curtis, your beauty prep doesn’t have to be. Here’s an exclusive peek at Anne’s bridal beauty routine. The best part? You can totally copy her glow-getting moves even if you’re not getting hitched—yet!
It’s easy to get caught up in the drama of whirlwind wedding preparations, especially if you’re a stickler for detail like Anne. “You know what? I think the key [to looking beautiful] is to be happy. Don’t be stressed about everything. Enjoy the whole process!” she shares. “Planning a wedding feels like Erwan (Heussaff) and I are dating all over again,” says Anne. “Our bond is stronger because of it.”
The happy bride! Also dubbed #bridechilla by her friends because of her super chill attitude about the wedding.
“My favorite Belo treatment is the Cinderella Drip. Pangalan pa lang, it’s so princess-y and so apt for a wedding. It really makes my skin glow,” Anne exclaims. And for good reason: This potent beauty drip is packed with glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that works overtime to fight aging while whitening the skin—giving it a lit-from-within glow that makeup (or even 8 hours of sleep) alone cannot achieve.
The glow is real! Anne wasn’t kidding when she said Belo’s Cinderella Drip makes her skin super radiant.
“My wedding look is very simple and light. My makeup palette is neutral, because our theme is easygoing and outdoorsy,” Anne shares. “I want something romantic, ethereal, but also as real as possible, because Erwan lives outside of my glitzy showbiz world. He brings me back to who I am.”
If you want to look just as flawless with minimal makeup, Anne’s next secret is a must!
To keep acne and oily skin at bay, Anne swears by her regular Belo facials. Most brides opt to get Belo’s Hydrafacial to rid the skin of dead skin cells, while infusing it with a cocktail of peptides, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid. “Wedding preps can get stressful, so we ask our brides-to-be to book the Hydrafacial to improve their skin’s texture, color, and appearance. Our goal is not only to make you look good on the big day, but also to improve your skin’s overall health condition,” says Dr. Michelle Villanueva of the Belo Medical Group.
Now you know the secret to Anne’s fresh glow and why she’s known as one of the most beautiful faces in the Philippines!
Anne’s trick to keeping her skin smooth and even all over? Exfoliation! But instead of using ordinary body scrubs or your trusty loofah, she stepped up her routine and got a pro to do it. “The Belo Wet and Dry Dermabrasion is a luxurious multi-step body treatment that sloughs off dead skin cells and lightens your skin,” says Dr. Villanueva. “[The combination of] microdermabrasion and serum infusions gently lift off dead skin cells without drying the skin.”
Anne removed the lace sleeves of her wedding gown to show off her smooth and radiant skin during the reception.
So when’s the best time to get your treatments done? Dr. Villanueva suggests booking your consultation and appointments at least six months before the wedding to get the best results. This way, your doctor can help target your specific skin concerns and make sure that you look picture-perfect for your big walk down the aisle.
