Ashley Ubarre’s skincare journey began in 2012, long before filters and glow-ups became a social media standard. As a teenager going through the ups and downs of puberty and the usual rollercoaster of hormones, she dealt with something many Filipinas know too well: persistent,painful acne.
“I started my Belo journey in 2012 because growing up and experiencing puberty, I had a lot of acne,” Ashley shares.
“There came a point where one of my teachers said, ‘Ang ganda mo kaso ang dami mong pimples.’ That really stuck with me.”
Like many who struggle with acne, Ashley tried everything: from clinic-hopping to following endless product recommendations. “I’d get their facials and use their recommended products, but my pimples would come back after a week,” she says. “My dad was like, ‘Let’s just bring her to Belo. Maybe Belo will help.’ After that, when we got to Belo, nagtuloy-tuloy na ako. I just kept coming back.”
