“Everytime na nagpopost ako ng selfie, ginagamit ko ‘yung hashtag na #HugisBigas,” Vice said in a 2018 interview with us. “‘Yun ‘yung shape ng face na matagal ko nang gustong magkaroon. ‘Yung manipis na mahaba na hindi chubby ‘yung cheeks. ‘Yun ang gusto ko.” As explained by Vice, “hugis bigas” takes inspiration from a grain of rice—slim and elongated, sans the chubby cheeks and square chin.
