First off, glycolic acid is a type of chemical exfoliant that dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells, allowing them to be wiped away easily, revealing smooth, younger skin below. Dr. Belo recommends that we exfoliate, not moisturize, to achieve skin that is truly healthy. So chemical exfoliation is the way to go.

2. It removes and controls excess oil.

This ingredient is also a powerhouse for oil control. It prevents pores from getting clogged and regulates oil production, resulting in less breakouts! 

3. It refreshes skin without the visible peeling.

As mentioned, glycolic acid is a chemical exfoliant.
