Myth #1: Anyone can be a candidate for 360° Liposuction

Surgeons may recommend a different procedure if needed to properly address the concerns of the patient. It’s not a one size fits all approach – where the same solution is used without adjusting to the patient’s specific needs. This is why a consultation is very, very important. Quoting Dr. Ronaldo Jose “Yo” Cayetano “the Belo doctor that will see you will be able to navigate you to the right direction, and to the right procedure.” Interested? here’s how our surgeons determine if you’re a good candidate for 360° Liposuction.

Myth #2: You need to keep coming back to do 360° Liposuction

Belo 360° Liposuction is a one-time procedure. It will destroy fat cells in the selected area. But without careful maintenance, which includes having a proper diet and exercise, you will gain fat in other areas where fat was not destroyed. Think of the procedure as a starting push for the patient, so they are driven to maintain their figure and achieve their other health goals.

Myth #3: The downtime for 360° Liposuction is long and difficult

The downtime varies per patient, but it’s normally just for a short period. We highly recommend booking a consultation with your preferred Belo surgeon as he/she can more or less give you an idea on the price and recovery duration since every 360° Liposuction case is different! This is a painless procedure as the patient will be under twilight sedation. Patients may feel some discomfort afterwards, but your Belo surgeon may prescribe medication to manage it!

Myth #4: I don’t need to exercise anymore to maintain my post-360° Liposuction figure.

In our make-believe world, 360° Liposuction seems to be the best solution so we can continue eating all the junk food we like, live a sedentary life, and not get back to our fatty selves anymore. That’s the ultimate dream, right? But the truth is, no procedure in this world can do that for you. To maintain your ideal weight and make the result last after 360° Liposuction, there should be a continuous effort on your part. The localized fatty deposits that existed prior to the procedure can no longer balloon out of proportion to the surrounding areas, but it can go to the remaining fat cells in other parts of the body. So continue eating a balanced, healthy diet and live an active lifestyle (here are unique exercises we recommend on what you can do post-lipo!) – These lifestyle changes can go a long way in making your result long-lasting!

Myth #5: 360° Liposuction has no risks.

Every surgery – including 360 Liposuction – has risks. It is essential to understand and acknowledge the potential risks involved. Though rare, these range from infection, excessive bleeding, fluid accumulation, numbing and sensation changes, and irregular contour/asymmetry. This is why it’s important to discuss with your surgeon what you need to prepare and expect, and keeping communication lines open with them before and after surgery.

Myth #5: 360° Liposuction is best to address areas with stubborn fat.

According to Dr. Cayetano, 360° Liposuction addresses subcutaneous fat. It targets stubborn fat deposits in multiple areas simultaneously, providing a more balanced and harmonious result. Depending on the patient’s skin laxity, they may opt to add a non-invasive radio frequency (RF) treatment to tighten the loose, sagging skin immediately after the surgery, such as BodyTite and Thermage FLX.

Myth #6: 360° Liposuction is the answer to all my body problems.

Overall, the choice between liposuction and non-surgical alternatives such as iWave depends on the patient’s individual needs and preferences. While Belo 360° Liposuction can provide more immediate and dramatic results, non-surgical alternatives may be a better fit for those who prefer a less invasive approach with minimal downtime. It’s important to consult with your surgeon on this so they may help you establish expectations on how you want to achieve your goals.

Myth #7: Fat cannot be transferred to other areas with 360° Liposuction

According to Dr. Eloisa Buse, one of Belo’s Liposurgeons, when fat needs to be transferred to another area of the body, they (surgeons) normally harvest this using regular syringes manually and not using a machine.  This way, the fat has better chances of surviving.  The next step to harvesting is cleaning the fat of debris and then injecting it into the butt, breast or face!

Belo 360° Liposuction’s price may vary, depending on doctor’s recommendation. You may send us a direct message when you’re ready to book a consultation!  Call 8819-BELO (2356) or click here to book a consultation today!
