Buckle up and pucker up! Here’s what you can expect from a Lip Fillers appointment!

My upper lip isn’t proportional. Like, my lower lip was a lot bigger than my upper lip. I hoped Lip Fillers would be able to fix that. I’m really glad I got to do it – with Belo, no less.

It wasn’t painful, to be honest. There was emla provided for me, where it sat there for about 20-30 minutes before the numbing took effect. Dr. Rodnie Valerio of Belo BGC really made me comfortable and not anxious about it. It was done in like, 30 minutes, tops. It just felt like ant bites!

The first time I did my lip fillers, I liked it! Mine lasted for about a year but it depends on your lips. When I noticed that my lips were already deflating, I went back for a retouch. It’s super nice and I really recommend it for someone with similar concerns especially that it’s not permanent. 

Lip FIllers aren’t painful, it’s not as scary as it looks. If you follow the instructions of your doctor, I think downtime will be minimal. I was bruised for about 3-5 days and swollen for about a week to 10 days. It wasn’t really that bad. You’ll just look a little plump for a few days. The bruising, you can hide when you apply lipstick!

I felt my lips were too thin and not proportionate to my face. At first, it was scary, because it was the first time I had done something to my face! I do know that downtime varies per patient. However, based on my experience, I had a few days of swelling and bruising. Nothing major.

I always had dry lips. I had also hoped to achieve a fuller shape, so that’s what convinced me to try lip fillers. 

The lip filler procedure was quick, and the pain was tolerable. I was very confident with my attending doctor, Dr. Rodnie Valerio. He explained everything to me thoroughly and gave suggestions on what lip shape would suit my face best. The first three days after the treatment, my lips were a bit swollen, but I saw the results after a week!

I definitely would like to do lip fillers again! I am more confident now and I’m planning to maintain my fuller and luscious lips. My lips are also more moisturised now, even without putting lip balm or gloss. I actually booked for my follow up session next week! 

My advice is to always consult with the doctor first and listen to their recommendation. They  know what shape/approach would suit your face well.
